Apricot Press is a free, online literary journal publishing poetry, short stories, flash fiction and essays.

Named after the apricot, which derives its name from the Latin for ‘early-ripening fruit’, Apricot Press is dedicated to publishing the new, fresh and exciting work of emerging writers. I, as the editor, am particularly committed to providing a platform for underrepresented writers.

Apricot Press is an intersectional platform accepting work from writers of all backgrounds, and we are keen to publish as diversely as possible.

I accept submissions of poetry, short stories, flash fiction, and creative non-fiction essays for quarterly themes (announced on the website and connected social media).

I hope that, together, we can create an inclusive and welcoming space in which to celebrate each other’s writing.
