I’m Lizzie, an aspiring writer looking to develop my skills, push myself creatively, and hopefully become published.

Having recently completed a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Nottingham, I’m looking forward to developing a consistent creative practice and sending submissions to the wonderful literary magazines out there. I’ve created this website so that I can share any publications, news, and maybe even a few musings on writing.

ABOUT ME

I’m a writer, editor, and publisher. My work has appeared in Swim Press, Dear Damsels, One Hand Clapping, Laced (which I also co-edited), and Nottingham Poetry Exchange’s Voices. Two of my poems were longlisted for the 2024 Mslexia Women’s Poetry Competition.

I’m also the Founding Editor and Publisher of Apricot Press, an online literary press publishing the work of emerging writers.

When I’m not working or writing, I love reading poetry and fiction, watching films, going to the theatre, photography and swimming.
